FORD, George, Jr., a Representative from Lancaster County; tall clock apprentice and maker; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1836-1837, 1837-1838 and 1840 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1838-1839 and 1841 terms; commissioner, Lancaster City and County Fire Insurance Company (1838); attorney; died, September of 1856 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
