HUNSECKER, Christian L., a Representative from Lancaster County; born, November 14, 1814 in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pa; miller; co-founder, Lancaster County Agricultural Society; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1850, 1851 and 1853; unsuccessful campaign, justice of the peace (1855); reelected to the House as a Republican in 1855 and 1870; unsuccessful campaign, commissioner, Lancaster County (1872); president, Conestoga Institute; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1852, 1869, 1876 and 1880); clerk, lime kiln; died, August 21, 1885 in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woodward Hill Cemetery, Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
