CARL, George F., a Representative of York County; born, March 10, 1810 in Pennsylvania; tax collector, Carroll Township (1842-1851); member, York County Democratic Convention (1844, 1851); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1847 and 1848; appointed, commissioner to survey the boundary lines of York County (1853); died, December 7, 1854; interred, Cocklins Church Graveyard, Upper Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
