STINE, Daniel, a Representative from Lebanon County; born, November 23, 1812 in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, Pa.; brigadier general, Pennsylvania Militia (5 years); merchant; iron manufacturer; justice of the peace (1840-1851); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1842 and 1843; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1849-1851); elected, Senate Speaker pro tempore (1851); died, May 29, 1851 in Myerstown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Hope Cemetery, Myerstown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
