(1862-1865, Civil War); railroad contractor; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1854 term, reelected to the House for the 1856 term; farmer; proprietor, saw and grist mill; elected, delegate, Wyandotte Constitutional Convention, Kansas (1859; served, 1861); engaged, real estate; owner, Hipple and Larkins Cattle Dealers; elected, Kansas State Senate (1868); died, January 21, 1875 in Monrovia, Atchison County, Kansas; interred, Monrovia Cemetery, Effingham, Atchison County, Kansas.
