KAUFFMAN, Samuel Klinger, a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, March 26, 1811 in Dauphin County, Pa.; civil engineer; engaged, real estate; elected, burgess, Minersville (1842); elected, commissioner, Schuylkill County; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1847 term, not a candidate for reelection; elected, surveyor, Schuylkill County (1859-1860); secretary and manager, Minersville Water Company (1862-1864); director and cashier, First National Bank of Minersville (1863-1870); died, March 24, 1870 in Minersville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, Minersville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
