Ingersoll; lawyer (1820-1871); trustee, Wilkes-Barre Academy (1824-1838); elected, burgess, Wilkes-Barre (1827-1828, 1834-1837); director, Wyoming Bank (1829); gubernatorial appointee, president judge, 13th Judicial District (1839-1849); elected, council president, Wilkes-Barre (1849-1850); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1850 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1851 term; elected, presidential judge, 11th Judicial District, then 26th Judicial District (1851-1870); elected, recorder, Wilkes-Barre (1867-1868); died, February 23, 1871 in Magnolia, Pike County, Missouri; interred, Hollenback Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
