JACKMAN, Jehu, a Representative from Washington County; born, circa 1790; colonel, Pennsylvania Militia; elected, auditor, Washington County (1834); elected, commissioner, Washington County (1836); elected, sheriff, Washington County (1843-1844); elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1854); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1854 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1855 term; died, December 17, 1876 in Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Tabor Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, Roscoe, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
