GILMORE, Samuel, a Representative from Franklin County, born, circa 1800; farmer; delegate, Democratic County Convention (1837-1854); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1840, 1842); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1854 term; secretary, school board, Letterkenny (1859); director, Chambersburg Savings Fund Association; died, 1863 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rocky Spring Churchyard, Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
