McALLISTER, Thompson, a Representative from Franklin County; born, August 30, 1811 in Juniata County, Pa.; major, Franklin Battalion of Volunteers (1843); captain, Company A, First Brigade, 27th Virginia Infantry, Confederate States Army (1861, Civil War); farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1846; died, March 13, 1871 in Covington, Virginia; interred, Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, Virginia.
