SANBORN, William, a Representative from Erie County; born, June 26, 1807 in Delaware County, NY; proprietor, Janes and Sanborn, dry goods and lumber merchants; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1847 and 1848 terms; clerk, office of the State Treasurer (1849-1850); lumber merchant; elected, school director, Ashtabula, Oh. (1863-1866); died, September 8, 1871 in Ashtabula, Ashtabula County, Ohio; interred, Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ashtabula County, Ohio.
