GORDON, John Brice, a Representative from Greene County; born, December 4, 1798 in Whiteley Township, Greene County, Pa.; major, 46th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia; farmer and livestock farmer; elected, commissioner, Greene County (1825, 2 terms); member, Greene County Democratic Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1848 and 1849 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1850 term; died, December 28, 1876 in Whiteley Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania; interred, Gordon Cemetery, Franklin Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
