RUPLEY, George, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, December 13, 1798 in Pennsylvania; engaged, lumber industry; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1848; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1849); farmer; died, June 13, 1877 in Marysville, Perry County, Pennsylvania; interred, Popular Church Cemetery, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
