HECK, Jacob, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, February 27, 1800 near Mainsville, Franklin County, Pa.; captain, Shippensburg Troop, Pennsylvania Militia; merchant; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1843 and 1844; died, September 15, 1887 in Bunker Hill, Macoupin County, Illinois; interred, Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
