TORBETT, Joseph B., a Representative from Clinton, Lycoming and Potter Counties; elected, register and recorder, Lycoming County (1815-1818); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Larry’s Creek (now Salladasburg), Pa. (1832-1847) and Jersey Shore, Pa. (1844-1845); elected, delegate, Lycoming County Democratic Convention (1844); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1852 and 1853 terms.
