BENT, David Jackson, a Representative from Chester County; born, October 10, 1789 in Wayland, Middlesex County, Ma.; sergeant, Capt. Charles Hammond’s Artillery, Maine Militia (1814, War of 1812); farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1849 and 1850; died, June 5, 1872 in Parkesburg, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Brick Church Cemetery, Cedarville, Cumberland County, New Jersey.
