EVANS, Henry Sebastian, a Representative from Chester County; born, April 1, 1813 in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pa.; engaged, printing business; publisher, Village Record (1838-1855, 1861-1867); publisher, Village Record and Register & Examiner (1855-1861); publisher, Chester County Village Record (1867-1872); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1846, 1847 and 1848; elected, Pennsylvania Senate (1852-1854, 1871-1872); elected, burgess, West Chester (1861); died while in office of the Senate, February 9, 1872 in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oaklands Cemetery, West Goshen Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
