FOX, James, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, December 21, 1819 in Hummelstown, Dauphin County, Pa.; graduated, Lafayette College, 1839; attorney; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1846 and 1847; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1852); died, February 28, 1858 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
