FUNSTON, Thomas Aten, a Representative from Columbia County; born, May 3, 1791, Derry Township, Northumberland County (now, Madison Township, Columbia County), Pa.; served, War of 1812; grain and produce merchant; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1845 and 1846 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1847 term; elected, delegate, State Democratic Convention (1850); died, April 24, 1874 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Jerseytown Cemetery, Jerseytown, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
