DICKSON, John, a Representative from Bucks County; born, February 3, 1793 in Durham Township, Bucks County, Pa.; private, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); blacksmith; farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representative for the 1847 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1848 term; proprietor, Riegelsville Hotel (1851-1868); elected, supervisor and school board, Riegelsville; died, November 15, 1889 in Riegelsville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Riegelsville Union Cemetery, Riegelsville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
