McCARTY, Nicholas H., a Representative from Bucks County; born, February 15, 1797 in Haycock Township, Bucks County, Pa.; farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1843 and 1844 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1845 term; died, March 18, 1885 in Bucksville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery, Haycock Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
