HOLCOMB, Judson, a Representative of Bradford County; born, July 25, 1819 in LeRoy, Bradford County, Pa.; store clerk; merchant; farmer; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Rome, Pa. (1851); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1855 term; reelected to the House for the 1856 term as a Republican; appointed, Chief Clerk, office of the Pennsylvania State Treasurer (1859-1863); appointed, clerk, United States House of Representatives (1863-1894); United States Patent holder, improved Broom-Head (1867); editor (1876-1879) and publisher (1876-1889), Bradford Republican; died, April 8, 1903 in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
