(1855); president, First National Bank of Towanda (1870-1889); elected, United States Congress (1875-1877); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to Congress (1876); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Treasurer (1883); appointed, deputy collector, Port of Philadelphia (1885-1889); elected, sheriff, Bradford County (1889-1893); director, Towanda Bridge Company; died, April 24, 1904 in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
