(1839); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1841 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1842 term; attorney, Pennsylvania Railroad Company; unsuccessful campaign, judge, Pennsylvania Supreme Court (1851); chair, Huntingdon County Republican Committee (1856); died, September 27, 1877 in Peoria, Peoria County, Illinois; interred, Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
