MORRISON, John, a Representative from Huntingdon County; born, April 30, 1803 in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1837-1838, 1838-1839 and 1840 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1841 term; president, Whig County Convention (1841); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1845-1848); elected, judge, Huntingdon County; died, June 24, 1859 in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Union Cemetery, Mount Union, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
