MOORE, Jesse Hamilton, a Representative from Huntingdon County; born, May 10, 1790 in Frankstown, Huntingdon County (now Blair County), Pa.; sergeant, 11th Division, 2nd Brigade, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); farmer; elected, auditor, Frankstown (1816, 1832); elected, supervisor, Frankstown (1822-1823); elected, overseer for the poor, Frankstown (1830, 1831, 1846); elected, school director, Frankstown (1835, 1855); elected, auditor, Huntingdon County (1839-1840); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1842 session; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1843 session; died, March 3, 1873 in Frankstown, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania
