MUSSER, Tobias, Sr., a Representative from Cambria and Somerset Counties; born, December 22, 1776 in Lancaster County, Pa.; stonemason; carpenter; farmer; elected, commissioner, Somerset County; elected as an Independent Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1843 term; reelected as a Whig to the House for the 1844 term; director, poor house, Somerset County (1846); treasurer, Somerset and Bedford Turnpike Company; died, May 14, 1859 in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania; interred, Glessner Cemetery, Stony Creek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
