ROYER, John, a Representative from Cambria and Somerset Counties; born, November 22, 1778 in Cumberland County, Pa.; iron manufacturer; canal man; proprietor, warehouse; elected, burgess, Johnstown (1840-1841); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1842 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1843 term; died, March 5, 1850 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Grandview Cemetery, Southmont, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
