MILLER, Josiah, a Representative from Bedford County; born, January 5, 1798 in Bedford County, Pa.; captain, Pennsylvania Militia; farmer; justice of the peace, Londonderry Township (1822-1844); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1848 and 1849 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1850 term; vice president, Bedford County Democratic Committee (1855); elected, commissioner, Bedford County (2 terms); died, February 21, 1881 in Madley, Bedford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lybarger Cemetery, Madley, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
