BISHOP, William, a Representative from Bedford County; born, June 21, 1820 in Bedford County, Pa.; corporal, Company A, 188th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1844 and 1845 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1846 term; died, October 19, 1882 in Thompson Township, Fulton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Antioch Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
