KUTZ, Daniel B., a Representative from Berks County; born, January 16, 1804 in Pennsylvania; proprietor, foundry; proprietor, Heidenreich & Kutz, merchants; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1840 and 1841 terms; elected, secretary, State Democratic Convention (1847); hotel and bar proprietor; elected, chief burgess, Kutztown (1851, 1855); trustee, Kutztown State Normal School (now, Kutztown State University of Pennsylvania); died, September 18, 1883 in Kutztown, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hope Cemetery, Kutztown, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
