FOLLMER, William, a Representative of Northumberland County, born, January 24, 1810 in Turbot Township, Northumberland County, Pa.; graduated, Bloomsburg Academy (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania); farmer; justice of the peace; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1852 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1853 term; president, Danville Mutual Fire Insurance Company; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1870); died, August 10, 1888 in Turbot Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Follmer Lutheran Church Cemetery, Milton, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
