BENNER, Enos, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, September 30, 1799 in Pennsylvania; farmer; owner, publisher, editor, Bauernfreund newspaper (1828-1858); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1840 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1841 term; died, December 8, 1860 in Sumneytown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Friedens Union Church Cemetery, Sumneytown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
