WALKER, Robert C., a Representative from Allegheny County; private, Company F, 62nd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1862, Civil War); major and paymaster, United States Army (circa 1864-1874); farmer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1849); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1850 and 1851 terms; secretary, Pennsylvania State Agricultural Society (1853); appointed, revenue commissioner, Elizabeth Township (1856-1857).
