SNIVELY, Christian, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, August 21, 1798 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; farmer; unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Allegheny County (1834 and 1837); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1848 and 1849 terms; appointed, Committee to Audit the Poor House, Pittsburgh (1854); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1855); died, May 13, 1875 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
