DOWLING, Dr. James C., a Representative from Clarion, Jefferson and Venango Counties; born, October 19, 1806 in Mercer County, Pa.; M.D., Pennsylvania Medical College, 1845; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1844; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1845); physician; died, December 24, 1860 in Luthersburg, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
