PERRY, William, a Representative from Clarion, Jefferson and Venango Counties; born, January 24, 1794 in Dauphin County, Pa.; private, 7th Co., 132nd Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia (1813, War of 1812); farmer; elected, supervisor, Scrubgrass Township (1826); elected, school director, Scrubgrass Township (1834); elected, commissioner, Venango County (1838-1841); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1846 and 1847; died, April 28, 1873 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania; interred, East Unity Cemetery, Cherry Valley, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
