KLINGENSMITH, Philip, a Representative from Armstrong County; born, 1797 in Pennsylvania; farmer; elected, vice president, Democratic State Convention (1840); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1847 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1848 term; died, 1852 in Allegheny Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
