PATTERSON, Henry L., a Representative from Huntingdon County; born, June 4, 1804 in Pennsylvania; merchant; elected, school director, Gaysport (1842, 1851, 1854); elected, council, Gaysport (1841, 1843, 1848, 1849, 1851, 1854, 1858); proprietor, Merchants and Manufacturing Line, boat shipping (1842-1844); elected, burgess, Gaysport (1845-1847); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1846 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1847 term; farmer; president, superintendent and director, Juniata Iron and Manufacturing Company (1860-1867); proprietor, Morrison’s Cove Railroad Company (1867); elected, judge of elections, Gaysport (1874); died, March 7, 1875 in Gaysport, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hollidaysburg Cemetery, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
