LONG, John, a Representative from Berks County; born, circa 1800 in Pennsylvania; stonemason; elected, commissioner, Berks County (1840-1843); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1846 and 1847; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1859).
