HUNTER, Daniel Van Reed, a Representative from Berks County; born, October 4, 1806; farmer; private, Company C, 167th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); elected, auditor, Berks County (1832, 1839-1842); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1853; died, February 10, 1875 in Oley, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oley Cemetery, Spangsville, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
