BENNET, Solomon, a Representative from Beaver County; born, 1793 in Pennsylvania; private, 138th Regiment, Capt. Thoms Henry’s Company, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); farmer; elected, commissioner, Beaver County (1834-1835); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1844 term; died, June 6, 1855 in North Sewickley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interred, North Sewickley Cemetery, North Sewickley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
