HAMPSON, Robert, a Representative from Butler County; born, July 26, 1797 in Mill Creek, Huntingdon County, Pa.; farmer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat to serve the 1849 term; elected, director, New Castle Bank (1857); died, July 30, 1864 in Worth Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, Zion Baptist Cemetery, Slippery Rock, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
