MELLINGER, Dr. David Dills, a Representative from Adams County; born, February, 1795 Manor Township, Lancaster County, Pa.; carpenter; physician; silk farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1851 and 1852; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1853); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1854-1856); died, April 9, 1878 in Manor Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Creswell Cemetery, Conestoga, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
