WRIGHT, Dr. John, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, Juniata County, Pa.; studied medicine with Dr. Philo Hamlin, Mifflintown; physician; elected as an American to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1855; reelected to the House as Republican in 1856; elected, vice president, Union State Convention (1856); died, March 13, 1859 in Halifax, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
