RUPP, Herman, a Representative from Carbon and Lehigh Counties; born, February 14, 1816 in Pennsylvania; brigadier general, Pennsylvania Militia; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1855 term; reelected to the House for the 1857 and 1858 terms; justice of the peace; died, August 18, 1877 in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint John’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Fogelsville, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
