VIPOND, Jonathan R., III, a Representative from Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties; born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pa., January 9, 1945; B.A., Williams College, cum laude, 1967; J.D., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1970; law clerk to President Judge James S. Bowman, Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania (1970-1972); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1973 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1974 General election; appointed, deputy assistant for public liaison, Office of the President (Ronald Reagan); appointed, chief counsel, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare; appointed, counsel to the Court Administrator of Pennsylvania; member, Governor's Advisory Committee for Mental Health and Mental Retardation; trustee, Keystone College; attorney, Buchanon, Ingersoll & Rooney, PC.
