YEARSLEY, Townsend, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, June 2, 1818 in Thornbury Township, Chester County, Pa.; carpenter; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1856 term; reelected to the House for the 1857 and 1858 terms; internal revenue officer, Philadelphia; trustee, Northern Liberties Gas Works (1866-1867); died, July 16, 1886 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Monument Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania (defunct); removed to Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
