HIPPLE, Charles D., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, April 15, 1828 in Landisburg, Perry County, Pa.; captain, Company H, 96th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1862, Civil War); lawyer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1858 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1859 term; elected, solicitor, Schuylkill County (1866-1868); farmer; died, March 1, 1885 in Monrovia, Atchison County, Kansas; interred, Effingham Cemetery, Effingham, Atchison County, Kansas.
