RHODES, Joseph C., a Representative from Northumberland County; born, 1818 in Mifflinburg, Union County, Pa.; graduated. Dickinson College, 1838; lawyer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1858 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1859 term; teacher; principal, Milton Academy; died, February 18, 1904 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Milton Cemetery, Milton, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
